Forty Eighth Spell [Audio/Curious]

I'm not sure if anyone else has ever asked this, though I know myself have never made the enquiry. To those listening, how many of you are magic users, or come from a world where magic exists?

I'm rather curious, I'll admit.

I believe you already know this Amaria, but I do use magic in some shape and or form; as for my world, it was filled with Aeons, commonly known as Magicians before majority of them disappeared from the world.

Yes, I remember you telling me so, Rue. I do wonder why all the Aeons disappeared, however. Was any reason ever given?

Yes. They weren't immortal.

Did they not have children to continue the lineage, though? That seems rather strange.

There was no, ah, magic where I am from.

The Earth of my own world had no magic, either; it seems to be a fairly common state of affairs.

I imagine you had, ah... machinery? Technology?

Wizardry is second nature to me.

As magic is to me; were you born with your powers, sir...?

All of Hyrule's people are born with a latent ability to practice magic. I, however, was properly trained to tap into my abilities.

Ah, then your people are similar to my own, though there is not one member of my race who has not been taught to wield their magic by the human age of five.

I take it this is not quite so for your own?

Yeah, magic happens.

'Happens'? Is it a 'common happening' for you?

Friend of mine was a witch, so... yeah, you could say that.

Well it depends on the person back in Vana'Diel, everyone is capable of using it if they follow a certain job path. There's various types of magic. White & Black, but a Red Mage can use a mixture of both and the same can go for Scholar; then there's Blue magic which is pretty much enemy attacks in magic form, Summoning magic which is self explainatory... I think that's it.

Your world sounds much the same as mine, then, although we do not call ourselves mages of any certain type. We use elemental magic as well as summoning, and also the silly little spells to make everyday life much easier.

[That got a chuckle, the lil spells to make everything easy.]

Well that's good to know. Although I'd have to rely on alchemy to make the 'silly little spells'.

I am afraid we faeries are a rather spoiled bunch when it comes to magic, as all we have to do is think of something and we have access to it.

It has made many a member of my race very, very lazy, I will admit.
