You will make beautiful, well-adjusted children. You really will be a fantastic mom. So will Megan. And just let your family try to ignore/not accept your gorgeous children... they won't last long.
My grandma tried to say that her first great-grandchild wasn't "really" that b.c his father (and my favorite cousin) was adopted. Some of us (extended family members) were apalled, some thought it was ok for her to express her opinions. Regardless of that, and though it took a bit of time, she now loves and lavishes attention on the kid just as much as the rest of us do! New additions to a family are irresistable, especially when they're of the cute, innocent and little variety!
I very much agree that, while a male/father's daily presence is not necessary, having an extended family network is a huge, huge asset (sp?).
