I haven't been posting here lately, because quite frankly I have too much to say, too much to turn over in my head for the time I actually have to write it. In lieu of that, I've been posting links to facebook and twitter to articles which have caught my attention, mostly to do with how utterly paranoid Americans are

You make wonderfully valid points. However, as articulate as your point is, there are intelligent individuals who would regard you as just another whining liberal.
Attempting to make the world "fair" or "kind" has become, unpopular I believe. Even amongst young intellectuals. We have come to worship iconoclast individuals like Hunter S Thompson, believing to be a true intellectual, we much reject ALL Political ideals, scream that everyone is corrupt and an asshole, and throw ourselves into a downward spiral of drugs, sex, and rebellion because the world is fucked anyway and there is nothing we can do about it.

I agree with you. But how can two men agreeing honestly change the world?

Isn't this what we where saying about 5 years again when we were just hanging out at your mom's? Well except for Obama he didn't surface until a couple of years ago.
