I love the roses and the heated floor. Your house looks so nice.

Poor baby Beorn!

I can't believe how much the flowers brightened this room. I'm down here 10 or more hours a day, so that was wonderful.

And always under my feet at the desk is Beorn.

In terms of having you around all the time, he has it pretty good.

My neighbors were at Fleet Farm recently and picked me up 4 boxes of Greenies. Fleet Farm has the best price, hands down, of anyone around, including online retailers. My dogs have no idea how good they have it here.

KITTIES!!!

I think the roses are a wonderful idea. Hmm. I have to go down to Ace Hardware tomorrow to pick up a paper towel rack. I could stop by Treasure Island while I'm down there and maybe get a bouquet of my very own. That would be neat. (I have extra cash this week because of some good cooking choices and because I did a Yiddish translation for a colleague.)

Tell me more about the steam mop. I currently enjoy my Swiffer Wet Jet, but I may upgrade once I'm out of school.

Flowers are so wonderful. If you can afford it, do it. Call it a mental health expense ( ... )

That does look like a pretty sweet mop. Definitely something to look forward to when I have a real job.

But flowers will be a good thing to buy tomorrow. I am definitely going to buy flowers, inspired by you.

Oh, the roses are beautiful! I was looking at the little potted flowers at the store last night and I almost bought some because the colors were so vibrant, now I wish I had! :)

I just bought a new netbook - it'll arrive tomorrow so I'm excited to have that new toy to play with. :) I wanted something smaller for traveling and something that wasn't vista... I just don't like that operating system as well as windows.

I thought about getting some violets, but the picture with the cut glass above - well those are african violets decimated by the cats. They chewed on the roses too, but somehow that is less upsetting because I only expected the roses to last about a week (they're on day 10 though, and still holding on). But do get yourself some flowers. Like I told FP, they're a mental health expense!

I love your icon!

Oh, and windows 7 is pretty nice. I never used Vista, I went right from XP to 7 and though it is different and has some quirky things that allegedly make it more like a Mac security-wise, I do like it.

It's so good to see all your pictures!

I love love love the new family room. Everything about it. The light, the fireplace, the floor....and Nani!

Beorn is so adorable. His name truly fits him.

I love the cloak and the walking stick. You must look formidable when you go about.

And the kitties and birds are all so beautiful, too.

After you talked about getting yourself the roses, I actually bought two bunches of daffodils and one of tulips at the grocery store on Sunday. They really brighten up the house.

Daffodils and tulips would be beautiful too - so spring like. Especially nice since we're still 6-8 weeks away from seeing them.

I had noticed in the picture that Nani looks like she was considered in the color scheme. LOL. Of course she was.

Yay, a picture post!

I am coveting your heated tile room. It's beautiful. And, as usual, I'm glad to see the animals.

I bought a shark steamer at Target last year, because a friend raved about hers. I never thought I would get a kick out of cleaning things. It doesn't have as many attachments as the link to the Euro one on Amazon, but as it is I only use one attachment anyway.

I went into a store yesterday where they had potted hyacinths near the door. I nearly bought one for my desk at work. Now I'm wondering why I didn't.

I think we all need to buy flowers as part of a comprehensive cabin fever treatment. The sun is shining here finally, after weeks of gray, but flowers are still needed to brighten things up.

I'm looking forward to getting the second shark. I want to clean windows and other stuff now.
