Missouri State University is offering a FREE Mass Open Online Course (MOOC) about Laura Ingalls Wilder. It is a two part course, with the first part offered last fall. I heard a radio interview with the instructor, Pamela Smith Hill, who said they expected around 200 people to sign up and they ended up with 7000! The second part begins April 6. I ( Read more... )

How interesting! My mother watches three hours of "Little House" every day on the Hallmark Channel, and I've printed out lots of 'net information for her about the real Mary's life, and Laura, and Pa, and... I really hope you enjoy the class.

The class is free - not sure exactly how a MOOC works but maybe your mom would enjoy the lectures too?

I'd been waiting for a few months and my copy came Friday. It is a big heavy hardcover book, with pictures. It is wonderful.
