Out with 2015, in with 2016!

I meant to post these pictures in the fall, but fall involved a fall, among other things, and so fun things were set aside.

I have always loved miniatures. I built dollhouses as a teenager and always dreamed of building Rosedawn Plantation. I would have loved to do something hobbity or elvish once that love developed. Well, the latest thing is ( Read more... )

Augh, new health challenges *and* family drama. *sigh* May 2016 be a calmer year for you. I'm so glad to see updates from you.

My one aide tried so hard to keep her out of it while we set it up, which only made the cat more resolved to sit in it. She does it whenever one of us is in the room just to prove that she can.

Cats are so entertaining! My Pippin would sniff once, determine that nothing in that exquisite garden is chicken flavored, and forget it ever existed.

Nani and Beorn sniffed at it, concluded the same thing, and completely ignore it.

Annie is a little kleptomaniac. Things disappear and reappear at random. A stone once went missing from the garden but then was back a week later. I had an earring missing for months, then one day it was in the middle of the bedroom floor - and we had searched for it numerous times. She has a treasure stash somewhere!

Great to hear from you! YIKES to all the health stuff and family drama--but glad that's over now and you can enjoy peace and quiet with furkids and fairies. What a lovely garden! :)

I enjoy the garden - when I wrote, I simply wrote the scenes as I saw them. Creating things like this helps me to create stories in the scenes. If I had ever created Imladris or Bag End, I would have envisioned stories associated with them, even if the place was just the starting or ending of the tale.

Your miniature is so cool. I love dollhouse kind of stuff too. It's just a great way to play with scenes from your imagination.

They really are. Cindra is continually adding little seasonal things to my garden - little harvest things, then the snow and pond. She gets uptight with the cats but I just laugh. It is like Annie is sticking her tongue out at Cindra and saying na na na nya na.

All those health problems and look at what you still manage to create! Wow. It's... just amazing. I love the little Christmas trees!

I'm sorry things haven't been going well and sorrier still that family haven't helped. But I'm glad you have such wonderful things to look at. And it sounds like your aide is great. You're keeping her busy anyway shopping for toys ;-)

I nearly fell off my chair laughing at Annie being a kleptomaniac! Hilarious! I wonder where she keeps her stash. And what else is in it...

I would love to find that cat's stash of stuff! Who knows what else I would find that's been missing for a while. Buttons, paper clips Plus innumerable catnip puffs

I just got a letter from my doctor in today's mail that I'll post about when I post the pictures of the winter decorations. in a way, reality has set in and while it may not sound like good news, it really is.

I continue to need more and more help, which is expected, and the decorating is one of the last things I will give up. But I have to admit that it is possible but this is the last winter I'll decorate. My aide says it wouldn't be carol's house if it weren't decorated, so maybe the aides will do all of the work next year.( they already do most of it) We did take a lot of pictures so they can re-create.

I have felt like such an idiot trying to make my journal look like it is supposed to but it keeps coming up looking like a feed no matter what I do! I do like the twilight though and have joined Bilbo in convalescing in Imladris while I read and study, but otherwise don't do much. I don't get waited on probably as well as Bilbo did by the elves, but my help is pretty good!
