So that's it then. The tournament ends on the crappiest game in the history of World Cup finals. Diving, overacting and cheating galore; skinhead behaviour by one Zinedine Zidane; and a penalty shootout. Totally unimpressed

it froze again AS THE FINAL PENALTY WAS ON ITS WAY TO THE NET!
Oh man, that sucks. Was it just your reception or SBS in general, do you know? (I was trying to pack my work stuff, get dressed and watch at the same time, so I was actually not paying huge amounts of attention to anything, really.)

I watched the replay last night while I was at the gym - hm. I think the journalists should include a new category along with the Golden Boot, something to do with acting. Actually - The Lazarus Award, for the player who falls the ground and miraculously recovers seconds after the penalty is granted most often.
As regards the Z headbut, Japanese TV has is that it was in response to the Italian player calling him a terrorist. I have no idea as to his heritage or anything but on the morning shows they also showed a few shots of I think it was terrorist attacks in Algeria. Not sure how the photos were connected because my Japanese failed me at that point.
But anyway photos aside sledging is every bit as unsportswomanlike as headbuting think you not? Has the Australian media reported anything about this? I presume the J-media didn't just make it up - but then again it was a morning show.
