Link posting thing...

Does somebody want to tell me how to post as a link to another place so that i don't post a bunch of picutures that appear right away and get in the way? I don't want to be annoying but i do like to post more than one picture at once sometimes.

Well if you're in rich text mode, the second icon is for LJ cut. So you click on that and the default text is read more, but you can make it whatever you want. Then you type your stuff in the gray box that comes up, as it says in the gray box, "type your cut contents here." So in the journal when you click on read more or whatnot it comes up but not on the main page. Is that what you were asking?

Well, there are a few ways to post links in live journal. Firstly, a simple URL, like http://moksha.hypher.net will create a link. If you'd like a caption/title, then you can use HTML. Like so: Godgle. To enter that, use Caption Text Note that you cannot use a double-quote inside the title attribute. If you want a double quote, like this one (hover it) then you will need to use " in place of a quote mark. The previous link's code is: this one (hover it)

You see, HTML code and I don't get along very well...I prefer the rich text mode. Or perhaps I should say, not knowing about html codes not working in rich text mode without doing a source thingy screwed me over and got me totally lost.
