I am intrigued by this 30 posts in 30 days meme, if only because it is surpassingly more suited to a blog platform like DW than FUCKING TUMBLR.

Hey! Here from friends-of-friends - I'm also a doctor (emergency medicine and clinical forensics), and I do the fanfic betaing thing sometimes! Usually I advertise it in charity auctions, but there are also beta comms you can post in. Wrong medical details have me backbuttoning out of otherwise good fics, it's very distressing.

Yay for more fannish people in medicine! *high fives*

Hey hey!

I can usually wince and glide over small medical wrongnessess unless a plot point hinges on them, though I did get annoyed enough at Inception (the movie, but also the fandom) that I wrote an entire silly fic about the importance of proper cannulation technique.

Correction: a very GOOD silly fic about cannulation technique.

That sounds awesome! I have a whole file of fic fragments of things like Bruce Banner managing a tension pneumothorax in the field, or Captain America reducing a dislocated shoulder, from when I've been learning the techniques myself. Somehow it helps to write fandom stuff about it!

"Tired of people in your fic surviving sucking chest wounds? Not quite sure about that last amputation? Still think prescription amphetamines for attention deficit disorders cause opiate-like withdrawals? Dial 55D-IABLE."

ADVERTISING IS FUN AND HELPFUL.

It's a dress! I am still dubious about the amount of colours it contains, but it always gets comments.

Yes! I adore A-line dresses because they suit my hourglass shape: I love dresses that hug my waist and then spill out into a full skirt. I have a wonderful bright red shirt-dress that has a perfect 50s shape and little cap sleeves, and I wear it with a wide belt - and sometimes another top over it, as above - and feel OH SO PRETTY. Tailored shapes are nice, but comfortable stretchy jersey-dresses are wonderful. Stretchy wrap dresses with their own belts are even better.

There's also my LBD, which has a sort of halter neck which is amazingly flattering, considering I don't much like sleeveless dresses as a general rule.
