The dumpling place with the grapes and tapestries on the walls near market city? Just down from central station? I AM THERE NOW. HERE NOW, whatever. If not, there's more than one dumpling place with incongruous grapes in this city, and that is brilliant.

As is this story! Australia's young/oldness and all the mess of myths we've collected and food in parks, lovely lovely lovely.

YOU ARE PROBABLY IN EXACTLY THE RIGHT ONE. Although I think I have seen grapes in a couple of similar places, there is only one that always has a queue. (Are the stir-fried noodles basically heaven in your mouth? That is probably the best indicator.)

GOD NOW I'M ALL HUNGRY AGAIN.

:))) Thanks.

....Oh, hell, Frar, this is...perfect. Wonderful and gorgeous and Australia - and yes, that mix of cultures represented by the food, yes.

And. Yes. I'm just going to be all flaily and incoherent at you. Because I love this, with Ariadne and the dreams, and the weaving, and all the little Arthur/Ariadne/Eames bits.

"I am the Dreaming, not the Dreamer," says the woman

I love this bit. And just. *flails at you*

Thank you! Inserting Australia into things could really grow on me, I think.

Is it sad that I know /exactly/ which dumpling house you set this in just from the description of the grapes?

Wow, this story is sure bringing all the Sydneysiders out of the woodwork :D Everyone knows that place, surely. Everyone has dreams about their noodles. Right?

Lovely story, made more awesome by the fact I did a mental happy dance every time you mentioned a place I know. I love Sydney.

...Kangaroo pizza? Where? I've never ever seen anything like it around...

Kangaroo pizza at The Australian Hotel in the Rocks, look into it, it's DELICIOUS.
