Fictional works about being Chinese-American? I've read Laurence Yep, Amy Tan, and Gene Luen Yang. I've preferred Laurence Yep's stuff of the three, since it's felt the least like issue!fic (ex. his Chinatown Mysteries) compared to the others, but I'm not sure what else other people have liked.

Yiyun Li is an exquisite writer, though her stuff is a mix of Chinese Americans and native Chinese. Still worth a look though. I loved A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, liked The Vagrants though found it incredibly depressing, loved Gold Boy, Emerald Girl and have yet to read Kinder than Solitude. Note that Prayers and GB,EG are short story collections.
