I like actual guessing games but I hate it when threads turn into guessing threads because anons play coy and don't name the fandoms/ships/characters they're talking about.

Unpopular opinions and TYWAU. Other than those, there's only one or two thread on each page (about a specific topic rather than any of the regular threads) I find worth reading.

I.e. "Some women just want to watch the world burn." They do bad things because sewing death and destruction is fun! Also maybe they have some sort of abstract philosophical point they're trying to prove, but it's probably just some demented justification for their own freewheeling sadism.

Because I read Kiwi Blitz recently and instantly fell for Gear, which is reminding me how badly I need more of that sort of female villain in my life. Male versions seem to be a lot more common.

What are your favourite animated films?
I am watching Kung fu Panda 2 at the moment but I love Shrek!

I will always adore Mulan. I think it's a combination of it having a lot of things I really like plot and character-wise, and hitting me at the right age.

I just rewatched this last night! It's so amazing. :) I think I really appreciate the fact that Mulan is so proactive in what she does, but she's also vulnerable in a way that makes sense.

I still think Shang is probably gay or bi though; he didn't ~secretly~ sense that Ping was a woman.

(OTOH, on rewatch I'm not sure I like how the Huns are depicted as barely human. Shan Yu even has demonic yellow eyes.)

I also like Totoro, Princess Mononoke, From Up On Poppy Hill, Secret of Kells, Beauty and the Beast and Robin Hood.
