Character Name: Acacia. For Mayfield purposes if she ever finds herself in a house without a “husband”, her full name technically would be “Acacia Solomon”.
Character Series: OC
Character Age: 19
Background:
The world of Reughardia wasn’t all that held life. It lay between two ‘opposing’ existences: The Netherworld and Celestia. Acacia’s father , one ‘Granveil Solomon’, was a Seraph; a high ranking angel of some power. ‘Was’ being the operative word, as he is now a fallen celestial with no place in the so called ‘higher realm’. Instead of descending to the planet of Reughardia, however, he somehow ended up in the Netherworld where he met one Myey: A powerful succubus that held power over a good deal of the land.

The Solomon bloodline held a powerful weapon: Ignis, a scythe of long since forgotten purpose. It was always passed down to the eldest child, able to be summoned by them at will. Myey knew of this, and ‘seduced’ Granveil to produce such a child. Solomon easily figured out her plans, however, and absconded with the child to Reughardia not long after Acacia had been born.

He took her to the country of Xylibek, where he managed to worm his way into Xatos Corporation’s infrastructure. It was some years until Granveil secured himself as a CEO of the corporately controlled government.

Granveil knew he couldn’t officially recognize Acacia as his daughter, and enrolled her into the Black Ops division of the security force. Though she went through rigorous training, she was still treated rather favorably by those in charge of her lessons. Still, she learned to kill without hesitation: Something that would become a point of aggravation with a partner she would be paired up with later in her life.

Being trained at such a young age, she took quickly and was soon seeing full active duty. Being stationed in Xylibek, her duties were rather straightforward and simple. Her jobs tended to be rooting out any discontent or corruption within the ranks of its people. Her assignments usually ended with terminating the life of somebody.

It was during this time that Gunther Malcolm, the president of Xatos Corporation, was overcome by grief when his daughters were allegedly killed by an unknown group of terrorists. Granveil Solomon seized control, starting Xylibek on a warpath to unite the world under Xatos Corp.’s control. They were largely successful, except for one continent in particular that stubbornly kept them at bay.

But their problems arose from one country that they had already taken: Oinama. A masked figure known as Kage suddenly appeared, leading covert strikes to remove Xatos Corp.’s control with a group dubbed the Shadow of Oinama; mocking the ‘Shield of Oinama’ that Xatos Corp. created. It wasn’t until they received information that Myey was assisting Kage somehow that Acacia was finally sent in to root out the problem. A slip of the succubus’ words lead them to believe that Kage was keeping a secret identity as a student in Renfield Academy: A prestigious school mostly meant for Xylibekian citizens.

Acacia found herself teamed up with one Torian Batries, the son of the general who lead the defense against Xatos Corp.’s offensive when Oinama was still an independent nation. Acacia main job was to go undercover as a student, while Torian continued his own work as usual. It soon became apparent that their methods were different, as Torian preferred to take their targets alive while Acacia’s training insisted that they be killed. They clashed numerous times over this, but Acacia found herself deferring to Torian’s judgment more often than not; much to her chagrin.

They eventually did succeed in tracking down the culprit, despite the continued damage caused by the Shadow of Oinama, and captured Kage and unmasked his… or rather, her, identity. At the school, she had kept her name as Calista Sigmus. Her background had been entirely foolproof in the government systems. In reality, she was Alicia Malcolm: The supposedly deceased daughter of Gunther Malcolm. Acacia tried to insist that they execute the terrorist, but Torian once again managed to get her to see things his way… they would brainwash Calista and use her to root out the rest of the organization.

Unfortunately, this proved to be their downfall, as Calista had a backup plan based entirely around this contingency. Her sister took up the mantle of ‘Kage’ and, in something of a calculated gambit, managed to confront her sister in person. The brainwashing was broken, and the ensuing confusion enabled the Shadow of Oinama to start their last push to take back their country.

In the last struggle that Acacia faced, she fought one of Kage’s more powerful allies. An explosion of magical power, brought upon her by merely being grabbed by the assailant, caused the half celestial to lose her hand. Torian was forced to retreat with Acacia to survive the encounter. It wasn’t long after that when Oinama was able to announce its independence.

Due to the nature of Acacia’s being, they decided that a blood ritual would be able to restore her hand. Using a mixture of Torian’s blood and holy water, they were successful. Perhaps if Acacia had been in a more cognitive state at the time rather than still in shock over the loss of her hand, she would have refused outright. It was rather risky, after all, given that there had never been any ritualistic magics performed on her kind… as far as Acacia knew, she was the only one that had both the blood of a demon and a celestial. In the end, however, the hand had been restored. But the magic forged a spiritual link between the two as well. Acacia immediately wanted to sever the connection, but Torian pointed out the benefits that it held for them.

And they needed every edge they could get, because Kage wasn’t going to stop at Oinama. They needed to figure out just what continent the misplaced daughter of Gunther Malcolm would target next.

Personality:
If there’s one thing that Acacia tries to come off as, is cool and calculating. She tries her best to assess the situation to the best of her abilities, coldly stating what needs to be done and how. Acacia is smart, there’s no doubt about that. Given enough information on a situation, she can draw up plans to set things in motion for a successful operation, and she knows how to use her resources to get that needed information. She’ll do whatever she feels she needs to to accomplish her goals, and she won’t hesitate to kill if she feels it’s in her best interests.

Underneath that, Acacia is rather emotional. Most of the time, she is likely to vehemently deny it if anybody tries to point this out. She has a hard time being ‘truthful’ with herself about certain things, particularly about how she feels. Obviously, it’s rather easy to make her flustered. She might be likely to smack somebody if they continue prodding her, though. Anything that makes her uncomfortable in a relaxed environment is likely to meet loud protests. Acacia can be quite stubborn about revealing her true feelings.

Despite the fact that her dad did ‘coddle’ her to some extent, she doesn’t have much love for Granveil Solomon. Their relationship was mostly distant, and she even had started dreaming up some plans of overthrowing him herself in order to seize control. This comes from some suspicion that some of the behavior she’s observed from her father that seems to indicate the things he does is merely to cause ‘entertaining’ events to happen. On the other hand, Torian is perhaps the one person she is closest to; not that she is likely to admit to it. She certainly doesn’t like his methods, and they do butt heads often. Acacia tries to make people believe that she doesn’t care at all about her mother, but deep down she can’t help but wonder how things would be if her father hadn’t taken her away.

If there’s one thing that Acacia doesn’t like, is being underestimated because of her ‘cute’ appearance. She has something of an inferiority complex, and doesn’t like anybody speaking down to her. Though being something of a hypocrite, she often puts on arrogant airs herself and looks down on other people. She knows how to give orders, and fully expects people under her command to carry through with them. Anybody disobeying her orders had better have a good reason to... or have the rank to ignore them completely; or, as the case will be in Mayfield, be under no obligation to listen to her at all. She'll certainly not be happy about that.

Deep down, Acacia is a coward. Put in a disadvantageous situation, she is likely to flee rather than trying anything risky to turn it into her favor. Her wish to overthrow Granveil and seize control is actually more of a want to put herself in a situation where she’s less likely to get hurt than anything else. There are rather few people that she actually trusts, with Torian being one of them. Depending on the severity of a situation, you’d have to be pretty close to Acacia in order for her to stick around to help you out in a particularly bad encounter.

Abilities:
Half Celestial / Half Demon physiology: Her demonic blood gives pointed ears, ability to summon black feathery wings which allow for flight, and a natural aptitude for magic. Having the natural aptitude and the ability to cast the magic, of course, are two completely different regains. Her blood also gives her a bit of extra strength despite her stature, but she’s certainly not as strong as a body builder.

Magic: Acacia is capable of using the following magic:
Elemental: The typical four elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth; useful for defense and offense.

Light and Darkness: Able to manipulate opposing powers for defensive or offensive magic. Combining them can have spectacular effects, but attempting to do this can have negative effects on Acacia. Because of her mixed blood, this is her most powerful magic.

Illusion: Able to project auditory and visual illusions

Healing: From healing wounds to curing poisons and diseases. She is unable to bring back the dead, however.

Ignis: A scythe whose purpose has been long forgotten. As it is now, it’s simply something that is passed down through the generations of the Solomon bloodline. Acacia is able to summon and dismiss it at will, and its blade never dulls. It generally is able to focus the inherent power of light from a celestial as projectile attacks or enhancing the blade. Due to Acacia’s mixed blood, this means she can use light and/or darkness.

Spiritual Link: Acacia shares a literal spiritual bond with one Torian Batries. They can quickly deduce where the other is, are able to feel what the other feels, and with some concentration can even see what the other sees. This bond, unfortunately, also gives them a bit of insight as to what the other is feeling at the moment; which can lead to some awkward moments.

Sample Entry:

This... this can't be right. We were on our way out to Cemylan when...

How could this happen? I didn't feel any magic at all.

*noticing the phone, she picks it up to and starts fiddling with the controls*

Batries? Are you there? Anyone?! Come in! T-this is Acacia reporting in!

...

This can't be happening... is this Kage's work somehow? T-the kind of miracles she's always been pulling, I shouldn't be surprised... but there has to be some kind of limit to what she can do, right?! Maybe she was in control of the ship?!

Even if she was, this place I am now... I want to say this is impossible, b-but...

Kage, what... is this? Have you already won?

Batries... where are you...?

Lastly, a request if you please:
Please put Acacia and Torian in the same household.
