It was kind of a mess there. You can hate the usual suspects though, Kelsey and fucking Mikey.
Honestly though, I feel like a huge weight was lifted. I was so unhappy but had no reason to change it, couldn't even find a way to do it. And now that I'm forced to, it seems so easy. Like, why did I do this to myself in the first place, you know?
I think there are two types of people that work there. Those that see it as the company of their dreams and those that see it as a temporary gig. Everyone has moments of complacency there, even I did, and it can warp you. Power and being within the confines of working somewhere so strict and hierarchical can mess with people's heads. I'll be diplomatic here and say those two have growing to do - but don't most of the folks there? Luckily you've hit the ceiling and get to be re-potted somewhere else, you darling sprout. I recommend a book for you since you're starting a new phase - it's called Linchpin by Seth Godin. Keep me updated!
