And then killing Joker for killing Robin, while at the same time enforcing his Underground rep and choosing a name that not only has cerebral mastermind connotations, but also as 'the detective's most dangerous enemy'.

XD That is definitely the reaction I was going for with this.

I needed to set Tim up as being capable of fighting against Batman and Nightwing, and having him train with Shiva for a year was a good way to set that up.

Jason's death was what sent this Tim down this particular path, so killing the Joker was an important part. And I really, really love the idea of Tim being a huge Holmes fan and wanting to use Moriarty as a name.

Whoa, this was...whoa! Holy hell, this 'verse is already set up to be so. awesome.

Tim is scarily motivated. I'm so freaked right now, because we know how determined he is. I'm dying to know which Robin died! (I think it's Jason considering the actual DCU and the timeline in this, but knowing Tim's devotion to Dick...)

You did a terrific job setting the mood in this. I'm already intrigued and on the edge of my seat. The cruel, cold way in which Tim took out Joker makes me frightened to see his interactions with the vigilante community. And what a perfect name for him. Moriarty. It inspires fear and awe.

This is stellar. I'm so looking forward to more of this 'verse!

I always like playing with 'What Ifs' and turning Tim's crazy dedication onto something... not quite good (I don't really want to call him evil) has been really interesting. I didn't actually mean to make the implication that it could be Dick! It's definitely Jason that died, so Tim was avenging him.

I had a little trouble with the tone of it, so I'm glad it still read well and had you intrigued. I've already got some ideas for how he interacts with the specific Bats and that'll come up in the following fics. And yes, Moriarty is the best name for Timmy.
