parentals can suck a nut. why do you think i spent so much time out of the house this summer? ...and why i still constantly hate staying at my house. just look forward to the day when you rarely have to see her except for holidays.

it's great not having to deal with my mother. Everytime i come home, she's got at least three talking points in which she guilt-trips me, nags me, insults me, or expounds upon for hours. It's maddening, but all it takes is one phone call home every Thursday night to remind me of just how lucky I am to be away from her incessant bitchery. I want to ask if she's done with menopause yet, but that will only add fuel to the fire.

Anyway, I have to see her this Thanksgiving weekend, and I will be spending at least two full days with her and her sister's side of the family, which won't be very fun. But when I come home on non-holiday-related vacations, I get to spend a lot more time with mah old lady, and my mom somehow respects that and only requests a few hours on one of the days with me. Trust me, it's better on this side of the high school diploma, kid.
