It ain't that Dallas is a bad kid. He's just got some things he needs to work out. He grew up too quick.

That sounds like a good number of people that I've known. But I really think he stands a chance of learning to manage his anger and bettering himself.

Why was he forced to grow up so quickly?

Honestly sounds like you've got him figured out pretty well.

You grow up in the way Dallas did and you've almost got no other choice. Far as I know, he had to figure out how to fend for himself when he was still just a little kid.
