I would like to, in the next few weeks, develop a opinion/news website/blog for this area. I believe that this is something that is missing from our neighborhood....and that the voice of this area is missing from the larger community of Minnesota.... News from this area is limited to:

i think this is a wonderful idea. I have been longing for something in our area too. But, since i am a lazy bugger i was just gonna wait until someone else did it and give them my full support. I am not a journalist but i know a lot of people. Count me in. I'll do whatever i can.

i think that mackenzie was working on something like this for a while?
it sounds like a good idea. we have some good stuff here in duluth. are you thinking of an internet kind of forum thing? more accessible, cheaper... o okk ok

This would take a lot of work, time, money....none of which I have to give right now....though I guess I do have some extra time floating around.
So I don't know what kind of time scale we're talking about.
Also,if Mackenzie has a site like this, then she doesn't know anything about the internet. Because it's not listed with any of the search engines. I remember she had her politicrit blog for a few weeks. But it didn't last very long. I had considered asking her about it. But I wanted to wait until I had a site established. Because though I want the site to represent progressive politics and news from this area. I don't want it skewed so far to the left that no one wil want to read it. However I would definitely consider content from her and her group. In fact I'm hoping for it.
Now the greens in the area did have a newspaper going for a while. But it was fairly sparse in distribution, and as far as I know has stopped production altogether now.
