[Video clicks on to a beautiful shot of the night sky... and all of your belongings floating off into it.

In the background, you can hear Prefect and Jane laughing like this is the funniest thing in the world.]

Please! Please do not do this! That is my diary of all my travels. [Victor looks as sad as he sounds.] What has possessed you to do this thing?

Victor. Victor, Victor, Victor.

They're only things, Victor.

[I hope that box of scientific curios and personal trinkets wasn't important to you, because away it goes!]

You shouldn't put too much faith in things.

[He doesn't sound too concerned about this though, in fact, it sounds like he's trying not to laugh about this VERY IMPORTANT LESSON which he's teaching you.]

But they were my things. I had great love for them.

[A gasp at the sight of his things going.]

Please, stop it! Do not throw any more away!

I do not know why I collect things. They are so often destroyed.

Do you fare well, sir?

Why the hell can't you fight for them?

[Private]

No. Today's been a hell of a day. [a long pause] ...thanks for asking.

I could not fight! What if I were to harm them?

[Private]

You must stay well, sir. Do not let the wardens grind down your spirit.

Victor, I understand you're upset, but owning things isn't that important.

I'll see what I can do.

It is not about the ownership, but the memories.

In this case, I thank you.

Let's make a bet of it, shall we? If you're right and the things are returned, I'll give you a bottle of something. If you're wrong, you'll spend a day in zero, mm? You'll get no better offer.

I hope for your sake that you're right about them.

[ooc; Eames is a douche and will just try to force him into Zero if he's wrong, whether he accepts the bet or not. Feel free to just avoid him, because he'll stop caring pretty quickly.]

I am not a gambling man, sir. In any case, I have witnessed Prefect and another companion disposing of my things. I am very upset.

You need something to take the edge off?
