You ever notice how sometimes books directly contradict what reality is? Like about how foxes are really dangerous whether they're rabid or not, and how bees rarely sting when they're in a cluster?

Do these people actually go outside, or are they just...writers who think they know what they're talking about? A lot of the information in these books ( Read more... )

Of course they're going to be contradictory. After all, words are simply an inadequate way for humans to paint a picture of their own false skewed reality.

Heheh, well, even a fantasy book needs to be based off of some form of truth, and if it doesn't, it usually has a disclaimer somewhere.

A fantasy book already implies that it is fantasy, though. It says you shouldn't take it is a biological book.

Exactly! But books that are nonfiction, or textbooks of any kind? Those shouldn't have false information. Outdated is one thing, but not completely wrong.
