its good to hear from you in any case, and hear what you've been up to. i sort of/kinda/really wish i was there because it sounds fun and new. though i've never really had much interest in studying abroad before, hmm.

I heard that the "paddy" spelling is a ethnic slur; is this true? I only heard it on the internet, and you know how dishonest that can be. Anywho, it said it was more offensive than "Mick," but I suppose if you didn't get beat up by any Irish folks, it must not have been very offensive, eh?

its just what they call st paddys day here, i mean if you called someone a paddy or something then it would probably be offensive, but i mean, one of our irish friends totally dressed up as a leprechaun for st patricks day, so the irish kind of embrace the stereotypes sometimes for fun, but just dont call them those things cause its mean and will be offensive then. ::shrug::?? thats what i think at least
