Warnings: Offensive language and subject matter (racism jokes)
Effects: None
Notes: This is the scene I tried to condense
here. Also, this is a character's update dream, so Desmond will be updated to the end of Sequence Four of the Brotherhood game (I'll put up more information on his profile meme in a bit).

Are you alright?

Yeah. I just bumped my toe against the foot of the bed. Hurts like hell.
[Such a bad liar he is]
Reply
Bad enough to fall out of your bed, then?
[ Just kidding, she will. And she's smile while she's doing it. ]

Maybe. I think I might even broke something.

Ultimately it is Desmond's pained groan which spurs him to speak.]
Desmond! Are you injured?
Reply
Not I'm fine. I just....have a bad hangover.
[It's not exactly true, but it's not exactly false either.]

I get really bad headaches. And they are really bad when I get up in the morning.
['Please believe it, please believe it...']

Especially the moment the man seems to wake up. Concerned for the stranger, she thought it best to check if he was okay. If anything, he might need some help. Worry laces her tone as she speaks to him. ]
Hey- Hey, are you alright? Can you hear me?

[Does the voice sound familiar? It might just! But the hand that covers the screen moves and the face of Desmond comes on. He looks a little shaken not that he will admit it, and there's a fresh gash on his left eyebrow. He obviously split his head when passing out.]
I just got out of bed too fast.
[Desmond raises his head to touch his forehead and hisses as he feels the wound there]
Ow...shit...

Shaking off the oddity of them sounding quite similar, she frowns at the cut over his eye, watching him get somewhat better situation now that he's not passed out on the floor. ]
You should probably get that looked at, [ Lifting her hand, she motions to just above her own eyebrow to demonstrate what she means. ] might need stitches.

You know Nathan?
[Yup, the two men met. Over having the same voice. He winces as the blond mentions stitches.]
That bad?
[Slowly, Desmond stands up and he reaches to click the lights on before he puts the Dreamberry back on his dresser, the angle of it revealing that he's not wearing much. He even leans over it as he takes a closer look at his reflection in the mirror. In the midst of his strange dream, the headache and the passing out, he might have forgotten the cute blond on the other end of this call]
....It's not that deep....

Privacy thrown out the window, she turns the doorknob and enters none too quietly.]
Desmond? [She takes a few steps in, squinting in the darkness.] Are you all right? What happened?
Reply
Yeah, I'm fine Chloe. I just tripped and fell down.
[It's a good thing it's dark and she can't see his eyes and know that he's lying.]

You're a poor liar, you know.
[She should know, she's practically the queen of it. Though, the familiar scent of blood, while not strong, can still be detected even to her. Her eyes have now adjusted well enough to make out the outline and simple details of his face, and the stream of blood doesn't go unnoticed.
She places a finger under his chin and tilts his head forcibly toward her.]
... You're bleeding. [A statement. You better realize it, Desmond.]
Reply
His hand reaches over to wipe some of the blood off his face before he's forced to look at Chloe. Despite the darkness, he offers her a small smile.]
It's nothing. I'm fine.
[Except for the splitting headache, but Desmond knows it's not because of the fall.]

Des? Talk to me.

I'm fine, Izzy.
[Even if he's still partly shaken from his dream]
