I finally bought myself some crochet hooks and started learning to crochet. I got a set of the metal ones, because I like the design of them more. Now I've got every crochet hook I could possibly need for a while. Maybe I will finally learn how to crochet well, rather than just the chaining I can do now. The rest has been spun - there's about 300 yards of reasonably even 18wpi merino, about 1.7 oz. If you're still interested in it, could you drop me a line to nutter4 at livejournal, with a contact e-mail address?

You don't know me, and this is completely unrelated to your post, but I really like your Penguin icon. Where did you get it? I've been looking for a penguin icon for a while and this is the first good one I've seen.

holy hell, I have no idea. I have an IM buddy icon that's like this but dancing...I think i just found the gif and icon-sized it. you can use it if you want to.

Whoohoo, a fledgling crocheter! I'm a veteran - more than ten years now. I'm into baby hats at the moment. Quick, fun to play with, easy, and there's always somebody who could use another baby hat. :)

i use it mostly for seaming things together, and chaining provisional castons. I also crocheted some bootie straps so as to avoid tiny icord. I'm a really horrendous crocheter though...better at knitting by far. :)
