How about december 21st? Why you ask?

1. It's the darkest day of the year. Hence, there's lots of time to do 'dark deeds' in dark corners and/or go to bed early. ;-)
2. It's my birthday. :-)
3. It could be a sort of opposite of Christmas, when thee days start to lengthen again, and coincidentally the main holiday of the people responsible for the 'kittens' campaign.

Good lord, I'm taking this idea way too far. Lol.
