HELP!

I need to create and add a messageboard/chat forum thingy to a webpage and I don't know how to do that.
Anyone know how to create one quick and painlessly????

the easiest thing to do is to use one of the free ones out there, like an ezboard or something similar. a more elegant solution is to use something like PHPBB or UBB but those require a webserver with PHP or PERL installed and a bit of programming. do you have any examples of the kind of messageboard you're looking for? is it for personal use?

well, I am the designated webmaster for my sorority alumnae chapter, but they had me build the entire site on Geocities - which for a novice such as myself was incredibly easy to use, but it is soooo limited. I was hoping to do something like you guys have for Azteca, but maybe on a smaller scale. I looked over the phpBB site - and lost my mind with confusion. Not sure what ezBoard is...
any suggestions where to go from here?

did an ezBoard... it was surprisingly easy to set up - I fear the customizing will kill me though.
