Two days before the end now. I've been updating http://www.mx1.org.uk/ELD/ with the texts.  Seem to be still enjoying it despite the whimpers and less than ideal weather.

Dog blossom = cauliflower. A phrase I've used for more years than I can remember. It started as one of my collies was very fond of the stuff and would nick it off my plate if the chance offered.

The mind boggles...Running joke since the Chef's Outing up the Great Glen Way. I'd advised everyone taking thermal wear given the time of year. I already had the stuff (bright yellow as it happens) but Ewa did an order for everyone else via a Polish firm and everyone picked their own colours. Most went for black, Ewa's was red & yellow top and green bottoms; Tash picked pink & purple, edged nicely in black. I was in a spot of trouble for suggesting she looked like a liqorice allsort ( ... )

grone! I might have known; lucky the dog was of that breed, and not, perhaps, a Rottweiler :-)
