I suppose I shouldn't have...

Having been changed Jbex Programme Advisor yet again, the new one suggested yesterday that I became self employed and should goove of a  wbo suitable for this time of year. I get the impression he was not entirely enthralled when I suggested the provision of welding services to brass monkeys ( Read more... )

Nope.

I gave up on him in the first couple of minutes when he told me that averaging 6 jobs a fortnight was not enough and I should be finding more than that a day to apply for and I should be looking applying for part time jobs as they pay the same as benefits now and travel would "only be 20 quid a week travel extra". Not a clue.

Previous one from Nov last year was very good. Pity I've been moved really.

Sorry to hear you've been lumbered with an eejit of an advisor. I wonder what the JC+ auditors will make of having to print and frank all those letters - IIRC not for the first time, albeit at a different office.

I hope the house sale goes through without any problems. Dad's house has now been sold, and the bulk of his estate has been distributed.

Jbex programme auditors and I expect they'll be as unhappy as the bod last Thurs. He boggled a lot when presented with the 1,853 envelopes printed, stuffed and labelled but just had to accept he told me 'as many as possible' in writing esp. when I pointed it was trivial for someone who knew their way around MS Office et al. He said he expected about 10.

Probably cost Ingeus about 1100 quid following their instructions.

A4E had about a quarter of that total. They weeren't entirely pleased either.

Looks like it so far. Solicitor reckons on exchanging contracts this coming week and seeing how long they want before completion.

Fire; Aim; Ready seems to be the JC+ watchphrase. I'd love to have seen that chap's face when he saw what he'd let himself and his organisation in for :-)

ISTR a previous time some years back, when you mentioned having given A4E 6K-odd envelopes to frank, BICBW.

Glad to hear the house sale is progressing OK. Dad's house had to have a couple of indemnity payments made against it, due to a hooter-up on the original deeds (something to do with the drains, my sister J tells me), but that only cost a couple of hundred to prevent any future charges on us. Otherwise all went through pretty smoothly.
