While bitchiness can be a problem, I think the self-importance can be way more off-putting and divisive. Not to be stereotypical or anything. On a related note, I wish they hadn't fucking moved Pride into the damn downtown area. It was much nicer when it was on the North Shore where there was grass and openness and such. Fucking corporate bullshit. Anyway...
As for studying in a bar, I don't know how people can do that. Too much noise and distraction, not to mention that for me, alcohol is not conducive to concentration. Drawing though might be different than studying, what with all the happenings in a bar, might give one some inspiration?

but during the gigs i would just find a mostly quiet (as in no drunken assholes on me) and would read and draw. study up on things like Ikebana and herbalism and other such things that appeal to me.

Also--there have been days at work where there have been SO MANY CROWS flying around behind the plaza. Mostly, they like to hang out at the food dumpsters on either end. But sometimes they fly by really close or I can drive/walk by some that are perched. So gorgeous. Crow crow.
