Three years ago I was 172 pounds, in high school I was 120 (and sickly). So three years ago I decided no more, and the health problems were really bad. So I started to study on nutrition and exercise's I can do (since I have a bad back and knees). I went from a size 16 to a 6 in three years. I have a healthy weight of 127-130 and I am happy.
Yes, it does pay off in the end. All it takes is patience and persistence. And also having the attitude I am not dieting but making a life style change was way easier. If you ever need ideas, or just want to go over food recipes or what ever let me know...I love talking about it! Huggles
