I just got my car back and as hated experiences go, this whole thing really wasn't so bad. They told me everything was going to cost about $320, but when I got there today they only charged me about $270. Did your window not do that before you took your car in? If not, I'd take it back in and demand that they repair it.

I can help you sell stuff on Ebay. I've sold/purchased lots of stuff from there. I should open my own "We Sell Your Stuff On Ebay" store.

I think that mechanics are, by trade, shifty. It's the rare mechanic that you find nowadays that is not.

I dropped my truck off last month to have a gasket replaced on my engine block, because my antifreeze was leaking like a sieve. $650 including parts & labor.

When I go to pick up my truck, my left mirror is jacked up and shakes like hell when I'm on the road.

Two days later...my truck is still leaking like a sieve. "oh, it looks like your water heater is leaking...that will need to be replaced" Another $200+ in the mechanic's bank.

scratch "water heater" and replace that with "water pump"

That's what I get for trying to talk about cars after having a few beers.
