remember to tip well! if you go back to the same artist, he will most likely charge much less if you are generous to begin with. i have lucked out with mine so far. :)

i have no idea, haha. depends on the artist, how long it takes, how much you like it, everything. for my anchor, he only charged me $60, because my friend knows the artist, so i tipped $20. then for my calavera, it was $100, but sean and i liked them so much that we tipped $30. just depends.

wow. that is the EXACT bird i have tattooed in the middle of my back.
minus the banner and the leaves.
what's really weird is that bird is an exact replica of one my grandmother used to draw for me when i was a little girl.
which is why i got it tattooed in the first place, after she had gotten really sick and had been diagnosed with cancer.
i got it done just a couple of weeks after my 16th birthday in 2003.
