So in a quest to better myself. *Mind you this has been happening for a while* I am trying to learn more programming stuff, ASP, PHP etc. I am going to focus on ASP to start with, can any of you my darling friends point me to some good web pages to start this? I just bought ASP.net for dummys

W3 Schools has been pretty useful to me, and has some examples.

Also, remember ASP and ASP.NET aren't quite the same thing. I can't tell you how or why they're not the same thing, but I know they're not. W3 Schools explain it far better than me.

I would rather concentrate on php which has a much wider appeal. ASP is too 'Microsoft'-centric to my taste.

Good for you...

Though I would join doc's suggestion on PHP - and for the same reasons. That's what I used for that little project you had me help out with. That came out okay I hope?

The project was wonderful.

The reason I am pickign ASP is because my company uses it a lot, and a firm I am looking at getting it at also uses it. Neither use PHP. So I figured if I learned ASP first it woudl help me right now, then I could learn PHP
