It wasn't weird at all! On the contrary, it felt comforting and heartwarming. Mutual upset solidarity is what keeps us going, I guess. I don't think anyone could have seen this coming and -like you- I seriously don't get why they did it. It's viewers rate suicide.
Gosh, just looking at different TW communities makes you understand how big this is. Everyone's outraged and furious. I don't think they're going to get away with it so easily, which is also a comforting thought.

Seriously, I am really, really hoping 90% of the fandom up and leaves, just so they'll know what an EPICALLY BAD MOVE THIS WAS. And I suspect a lot of fandom will. Which makes me a little glad, at least.
RTD needs to understand he can't just fuck with his fans's feelings like that. I don't think he really gets how invested people are in his characters.
Imagine being Gareth, right now. Man, it must be so heartwarming to see how like 75% of the viewers of your show are in uproar because your character died.

I was just cruising LJ because I'm bored and supposed to go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning but I don't really want to and hey- verbal diarrhoea.
