I have never been to Dollar General; I hear there is one in Francestown, but I haven't been out that way in a couple of years.

dollar general has 75cent cans of black beans and $1.25 cans of pineapple chunks or slices in their own juice. When you shop at DG during the week, your receipt has a $5 off $25 coupon USUALLY for the next Saturday, but sometimes or Friday or the week after Saturday- check the date. If you shop carefully and make a $25 order, you , essentially, get 20% off that order , so your 75cent can of beans is 60cent and your $1.25 can of pineapple is $1 ( ... )

We do have Dollar Tree, where everything is $1, unless it's reduced to less. My local Market Basket has 28 ounce cans of black beans for $1.19; Aldi's has the regular sized cans for 50 to 69 usually, 28 ounce cans of tomatoes for 79; etc. I will be moving in a couple of weeks to another apartment in this building so I have been getting rid of thigs, not stocking up. This time with everyone socially isolated I expect to only have my sons and a couple of long-term Grove members helping. I can't bend and lift, and my balance is not very steady, so I expect it will be an exhausting process. And I'll ( ... )

I shop at dollar tree, too. I like their little notebooks, made in India. I buy clotheslines and clothespins. I'll buy a HUGE dollar bag of popcorn and scatter it for the wild birds. I buy the marked down WW bread for my goat. They sometimes have ASOTV products- got a bunch of ASOTV sewing kits for the 4H sewing class and computer keyboards for our own use. Their eyeglass cases are nice. Electronic wipes for $1. AND, they got baby wipes in stock with no limit while other stores were sold out ( ... )
