G: We're goning to have to come down there more often.

Am I the only one who perceives that as a threat?

hehe... Since Beloved HATES driving... and even though He's tried to at least get them down our way a few times, it never happened, maybe this was a wake up call??

It was in that petulant "He kept a secret from us? Wah! How cruel my Grandson is" kind of tone... I think she's wondering what other secrets she thinks we have >.> <.

It doesn't sound so bad. :) Families are weird anyway!

It's not bad, The cool uncle kept apologizing and He got a laugh out of how out of it his Brother-in-law was.

Ahh, coolness, he'll be taking your name instead of the opposite and traditional you taking his? *kinda sounds familiar, but isn't really sure if it was posted about before or not* Damn memory.

I may have posted about it. My mom doesn't want him to, but not because she'd rather that we be traditional.... He's the only Grandchild on either side of his family. If he takes my name it's the End of the Line...

Ahh, I see your mother's concern. Especially with how his father may take it not only being untraditional but ending the name as well. Hmmm, I've always thought (and a bit untraditional as well) that since a man and wife are 'joining' or whatever, that would be cool for them to take each other's name. Not both swapping out, but more of adding to their own, in the same order. Of course, even in this one has to decide which will go first, and which will be the Sir name... unless you hyphen and us both as a Sir name, but in some cases that could get way long.
