for anyone who isn't already aware, stocky has been sacked from djing saturday night corp and will be replaced by dj chippy (who is rubbish, he doesn't even know who mastodon are, rant rant rant...). this is an absolute travesty and anyone who gives even half a shit about metal in sheffield would do well to make their complete and utter disbelief

hmmm, how odd. do we know why he's been sacked? seems odd that they'd get rid of him from one night but not the other if there's a reason behind it all...

Apparently, he went on holiday a couple of weeks ago and dj chippy (whos favourite bands, to quote the shef uni rocsoc page, are linkin park, bowling for soup, and korn) covered for him. It seems that the night went so well that they would rather him carry on doing it, instead of Stocky. Corp are also saying that Saturdays have been very quiet lately, and it was a lot busier that week. Never mind that there's been a festival almost every weekend recently, and almost all of the student population's gone home.

We were thinking of having a stand in next saturday (Like a sit in, but with Corp floors!) Basically we go, we take up as much space as possible on the dancefloor, but don't dance at all :)
