22 by my own count there for me though several series were listed as singles (and then separately). Do i get bonus points for having read the Aenid in Latin or is that too old for this list?

You absolutely get extra credit for The Aeneid in Latin! At least, you do as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I can't figure out how they're choosing books, either. It feels almsot like they picked 100 books that would make you seem smart or trendy wihtout paying much attention to the merit of the book.

Grr at them for saying Top 100 Books when they're really all novels. Oh, and the bible. :roll:

I'm surprised I've read fourteen of these considering I don't really like fiction all that much. I'd give Howl more consideration than On The Road if we were looking for something to represent the Beats.

And the lack of T.S. Elliot's The Waste Land and HST's Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail feels more or less criminal to the bailey.
