This weekend is Prom, that really sucks because it's my Senior Prom and I'm not going. This town really doesn't accept gay's too well. Since I was a child I always dreamed of going with a boy, but now that it's here I realize that just isn't possible. It amazes me that people are always so bothered by things that other people do. It is a shame that people end up feeling excluded from things that are meant to be for everyone. Who you choose to be with doesn't affect anyone but you...why can't people understand that? (By the way...prom is definitely over-rated!)

It's really bad the people where you live are so ignorant. You should be able to go wherever you like, with whomever you like, and not have to worry about what the hell they think. If I remember right, you said you were single at the moment, but if that weren't the case, i'd say go with your boyfriend and tell them all to fuck themselves. You should be able to enjoy it just as much as they do.
I'm with you though on the happenings of prom night...ours is tomorrow and i'm not going either, which bums me out. It's my senior prom as well, but no one asked, and i'm not exactly riding the top of the popularity charts, so i'll be damned if i'm going to pay a crap load of money to go by myself. It'd be fun to have gone...but you're right, people make a way bigger deal out of it than they should.

Go out and do something fun tomorrow! I'm stuck at my house, but at least one of the non-prom goers should have a good time!
Sorry...I think I just rambled...a lot.

Thank you all so much for giving me words of wisdom, they really helped. It does suck that I can't do the things I want to do, and even though I don't like this phrase, I just can do everything in life, that "normal" poeple get to do. Because I am Alien to them and nothing but a caged animal they can slap around, it's acceptable for them to treat me that way they do. Acceptable in a society I'm not sure I want to be a part of. But there isn't much I can do but live in this society... But thanks for all the great comments!
