So I found out today that one of my favorite pubs/restaurants is closed. Please take a moment to mourn with me the lost of Molly Quinn's. This place was the perfect Irish pub. Anytime an establishment that serves alcohol in a good environment is closed down, I die a little bit inside.

Minneapolis is changing the ban??

The City of Minneapolis is likely to change its law simply for the fact they are losing revenue and they want to re-do the street on Lake St. Where do they get that money from? The bars and restaurants. So how are they going to get the money if there aren't any bars or restaurants on Lake St. Part of it is the change in government. This is a city voting year.

Molly Quinn's closed?!? *moment of silence*

I can't seem to find the results of the investigation they did a couple months ago... what are the proposed changes to the ban?

I don't know the facts. Its just stuff I've heard. I know they have 3 to 4 offers on the building, but it didn't sound like any of the possible owners were going to continue Molly Quinn's.

And the stuff I've heard is second hand from the former Owner.
