THE APARTMENTS @ THE METROPOLIS DISTRICT
The Apartments are the housing area specific to the Metropolis District, situated throughout the district in different buildings. These buildings resemble your modern day big city apartment complexes, with some being nicer and higher-end than others. These apartments are co-ed and house an average of three people in most buildings, with a few of the larger, high-end apartments housing up to four. As like all housing areas in Splendor, they come fully furnished.
BASIC INFORMATION
The Apartments differ from building to building, but here are a few basic facts:
• Co-ed by unit. Members of opposite sexes are able to be placed in the same apartment units.
• Average Occupancy: 3/room. All occupants will receive their own room. The maximum number is determined by the amount of bedrooms in the apartment, therefore everyone will have a room to themselves. Higher-end buildings have larger apartments, and can house up to 4 in some.
• Fully furnished. The Apartments all come fully furnished, complete with up to date appliances in the kitchen and modern plumbing in the bathrooms. If there are any add-ons or exceptions, they will be mentioned under the individual descriptions.
• Handicap-friendly. Each complex comes complete with stairways and an elevator large enough to fit anyone who is unable to use the stairway.
• Key Required. A key is required to access these buildings. There are two keys for the apartments; one is an electronic key that allows access to the inside of the buildings. The other is a card key that allows access into a specific apartment unit. The number of the unit is written on the card key, and the name of the building is etched onto the electronic key.
APARTMENT BUILDINGS
There are currently two apartment complexes open for residence. They are as follows:
• Rotterdam Apartment Building, located just next to the library on the Alpine district side. This brick-faced building resembles a very traditional city apartment building. The units here fairly large, relatively well-kept, and simple in style; each features a nicely-sized kitchen area connected to a dining/living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open entrance area. The default furniture styles are relatively clean and simple, sometimes bordering on modern style, but nothing "edgy". This building is also relatively tall, featuring seven floors for housing.
• Riverfront Towers, located on the bank of the city river, directly across from the city park. This apartment building is comprised of two towers connected on the 5th floor by a skywalk. The residential apartments in this building actually start on the 5th floor, not the 1st; the first few floors in this building are empty office space. The apartments here are larger than most, and a bit higher-end style wise; each features a large kitchen area, a dining room, a living area, four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, an entrance area, and a small balcony. The furnishings here are up to date and modern, with furniture that looks a bit more pricey. These buildings contains 10 stories each, only five of which contain apartments in each tower.
