Well, this sort-of-ex of mine is upset with me. He's very sensitive; really, too sensitive to ever consider dating me. He "shuts down" when people yell at him. And I'm loud. Long story short, we communicate horribly. He doesn't understand my humor. AT ALL. I left him a comment I thought (Still think) is pretty funny, and he took it rather horribly. I like to tease! I can't help it, I just have to have somewhere for wit to GO! And He dropped out of high school and just got a GED because he couldn't take it. His friends are all SUPER supportive of him, all the comments are "yay! I love you!!!" and it seems very brady bunch to me. Now he's blocked me from his journal and sent me a mean note to my comment. And I can't help but think, why am upset? For the things he said, or because, even unknowingly, I hurt the feelings of this very sensitive boy?

I'm sorry. When I applied to colleges I applied to only NYU and UW. And I didn't get into NYU.
It hurts because it feels like rejection. But they don't know you, all they see is some scores and an essay. So, don't take it personally.
I've been to NYU. I hope you figure out sooner than later that people are stupid everywhere, and where you go to college isn't going to create the whirlwind life you want, only you can. Honestly. Feel better, Lauren
