Many, many thanks to Angela for supplying me with a picture of J.K. Rowling to draw for my required Art I portrait.  I suppose I'm pretty pleased with how it came out; there are some things I wish I could change but I neither have the patience nor the required materials now that I've brought the picture home.  At any rate, it got a 100 A, so I

Her face seems a bit too long and skinny in the drawing, more than in the photo, and there's something funny about the mouth... in the photo it's clear that she's smiling but in the drawing she doesn't look happy.

Hi there. I think the skinniness of her face in the drawing is the way I resized the picture so there would be a more reasonable fit in the LJ entry. If you click on the large version, I think her face looks a bit more normal.

But I do see what you mean about her lips. I think I didn't thin them out enough at the corners. I know I said I wouldn't work on it anymore, but maybe I'll go in with an eraser and work on fixing them....

I think her hair's a little too light-it blends in with her face a bit. Hair is really hard to make look realistic and not just a buncha lines though. I thought you had done a good job in that respect!
You really did a fantastic job with her eyes, epsecially the lighting, but I think you could add a little more eyelash/makeup to the left eye. Compare it with the original pic.
Overall I give you a 100 A+ too! :)
