If you're not trying to build muscle perhaps you could talk with a personal-trainer-type-person to see what sorts of exercise would help you slim down without adding more muscle on. I don't know if you know anyone like that who could give you free advice, but I think it would be worth looking into.

Really I think I'm just being impatient! Muscle is hard to build and it burns more calories so I'm not begrudging my body any of that ;)

Hey! I know we don't actually know each other, but I just felt compelled to give my two cents, so feel free to ignore: There's nothing wrong with wanting to get healthy and tone up, but based on your pictures and stats, you ARE thin and quite frankly, look beautiful. It pains me that your husband can be so insensitive and hurtful. Next time he makes a comment like, "It would be nice if you lost a little weight," try saying, "It would be nice if your penis were a little bigger." See how he feels about that.

Thank you :) It does hurt when he's insensitive... his toughness and honesty are things I usually like about him but I'd rather he only applied his critical perfectionistic eye to his work and not to me O_o

The sting however has well worn off and only good has come from it. I'm really enjoying learning about the human body and also being more active :)
