I had invisalign...I don't remember the fitting being that painful.

It sounds like everyone's experience is different :/ While my teeth aren't terribly crooked, my bite is way off and I was told by my Orthodontist that if I went with traditional braces I would need my mouth wired shut to achieve a proper bite O_O So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I'm finding this so painful. Maybe it's just the Invisalign version of wired shut?

Were you happy with Invisalign?

Yes, but be reminded that you are going to have to always wear a retainer to keep the results. I finished with invisalign when I was like 18 or 19 and I still wear a retainer (I'm 25, almost 26). If I don't, my teeth shift. Also, I could be wrong about this, but I don't know how effective invisalign is for fixing bites. I think my bite was a bit off, and it still is. But it fixed my crooked teeth and that was all I really cared about.
