mathy jobs?

i am looking for work in seattle! i have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and made it half way through a master's program in mathematics education. i have extensive experience doing one-on-one math tutoring up through calculus, and a year's experience teaching pre-calculus at portland state university ( Read more... )

Substitute teaching varies per district; some in the SEA area now have online sign-up for teaching jobs, which is great. Check out each district's site. Most do not require an education degree. Frankly, math teachers are hard to find, so a qualified subject area sub would likely be in high demand.

Pay varies; if you have the time and transportation to make it to suburban districts, you'll likely make a little more cash per day. Private schools generally pay less, but there are exceptions.
