Rosa!
Please don't go to work tomorrow! I remember the bruising and the need to constantly sleep. I don't think the 45 minute drive is a good idea. Your co-workers will understand. I ended up having to miss a class because of it. My bruise lasted like 3 weeks after the surgery!
Thanks for the CD!!!! You made me feel very special and appreciated :)
I honestly hope you took Alice's advice...sadsortosingingSeptember 6 2005, 13:22:15 UTC
Last December, when I got my appendix out, I spent almost a week on the couch. By the end I felt rather silly just lying there, but whenever I got up to go to the bathroom, I realized that not trying to walk to the Metro and walk around at work was a good plan. And driving while on painkillers!!! Sheesh, woman!
I did go to work. A few of my co-workers told me that I looked like I shouldn't be there. The ride was a little loopy, but I've tried to time the meds so they won't be at their height during the drive. Although, I didn't take them last night and suffered this morning for it. About 10:30 am, I was ready to pass out, had to ask someone to repeat a number three times while I stared at my paper and couldn't concentrate on what was there. I wrote lots of credits too. Can't wait to see those all come back when people complain they're done wrong and I'll have no explanation for why I did what I did. I told my collector that I was ready to go home, and she told me that she wasn't going to let me in that condition (she lives like 1/4 mile from me but works different hours). She said just to curl up at my desk and she'd fend off my supervisor.
