Over ten years ago, deep in the throes of accounting school, I discovered fanfic. And I went looking for handmaiden fanfic, because if anything in fandom is both awesome and underrepresented (the breeding ground of Needs Fanfic Now, obviously), it's Star Wars handmaidens

Fandom. Ain't it grand?

I have friends the world over thanks to Stargate (and now other shows, too, but Stargate was the first to really do for me what the handmaidens did for you). I guess it's true what Wil Wheaton recently said:

It's not what you love. It's how you love it.
