It’s so pathetic how people can make so much money in such restrictive and exclusive professions.  Cushioning their egos with pay cheques and 555 Soul shirts without seeing the world around them.  I see people so content in their Tupperware life that experiencing the world as art and as culture seems virtually unnecessary and an unfathomed concept ( Read more... )

I will fight for myself, and for others, but I will never stop fighting for myself because of others... it took me too long to gain the strength to start fighting, and I ain't givin' it up now.... If it weren't for others fighting for me, I wouldn't be here to fight for myself, and for others....

thank-you... I feel it is every humans right, regardless of whatever their priviledge is, and whatever their oppression is, we all have the right to fight for ourselves on a primary basis, and nobody, regardless of their priviledge, regardless of their oppression, has the right to make us feel bad about who we are, and what we are fighting for.

sorry if i made this come accross as a joke or, worse, a "game". and - again - this isn't about who can be the biggest victim. what i'm trying to express is that, when it boils down to it, we can't be selfish and selfless at the same time. we can't try to help and understand the world when we try so hard to BE the victim and claim to be the depressed oppressed rejected colonized underprivileged minority.

as a friend put it:
It's okay to be privileged, and it's definitely important to acknowledge your own history. Use your privilege for good, instead of denying it!
