William was on day three of his stakeout of the house at #29 Chimera, and so far nothing terribly unusual had happened.
He wasn't entirely sure if he was supposed to hope that would continue to be the case, or if something unusual would happen.
At least the second option would possibly mean excitement.

Because it was definitely going to be all her fault she was being stalked by Holmes' crony. Certainly not Holmes', oh no.
And so the twins left the house and marched stoically over to William and offered out to him a thermos of hot cocoa.
And, sure, if he drank it, in about an hour, it would wind up giving him hiccups, due to a special recipe, but other than that, it was perfectly harmless.

Still, William took the cocoa (he wasn't sure it would be a good idea to refuse, given who was offering it), and, unable to detect anything wrong with it with a cursory sniff, he poured himself a cup.
"...Thank you?" he said, a little hesitantly to the twins. He was fairly sure that the stakeout-ee being aware of the stakeout was against some sort of rule, here.

"You notice anything 'bout him?" Kūkaku asked when they got back, but they had nothing to report. She didn't think Holmes would send a boy to do a Crater Faced Man's job, but it never hurt to check.
So she sighed and went back to working on things for her class, making sure that she didn't do anything exciting or interesting at all. She wasn't about to validate this ridiculous move by actually giving the kid anything to get excited about.

She'd also sensed the boy the first day he showed up. It had been mildly interesting then; now it was just boring.
She stepped outside to check the mailbox, but in the middle of it, she paused, and sent a look directly in William's direction.
Sigh.
