culture is just the collected information that the group has access to, yeah? So why shelter anyone for the sake of cultural purity? That's like, aryan thinking.

Introducing someone to a new way of life doesn't destroy the old one. Take a Jeet Kun Do stance to anthropology.

Wait. This could go either way. Are you saying that I should be for technology and the like or that the one who commented should be for radical ideas of minimalism?

Or, I guess what i'm saying is, technology is bridging the communication gap between cultures, but why not embrace that?

If you are worried about an "NWO" or a unified global culture, why is that a bad thing

Human Beings are about at their limit as far as physical evolution goes, so lets focus on evolving progressive ideas

There are so many interesting things about this post, primarily of the time frames with that each part is written in and responded to. If I were to take the same slightly invasive tact you put to your teacher, I would ask, "Which Amanda Cain response should I respond to?": the original statement and response between your teacher and yourself or the present idea that seems to emerge from your posting and and query?

What speaks volumes to me is you posted as depressed and your song that accompanies it. I hope you are well and happy since your post. The world is a large and beautiful (if flawed) place.

I didn't join your blog because, instead of a person to person dialogue, it seems more like a personal thought process, with fans to answer to it (I'm a big fan of dialectics, if you can tell).

I hope you write again, I've found few people recently with such an amazing talent for verbalization in a such a thought provoking way (as well as visual creativity=)

Wow, thanks.
I will always remember what you said, and hopefully be able to one day apply it to either art or further life questioning.

Who cares about the whisps and whorls of memory? They're so meaningless beyond the sense of catagorization and filing for future reference.

Very well, your original statement then.

Products are designed for better comfort and customized for the taste of the consumers who buy them. This is a result of a nation built on the pillars of a capitalist economic system. Anything that is more efficient has better value, however culture destroying ( ... )

I suppose you're right, but it was not a classroom setting, and she is not my teacher. I simply just wanted to know her values, and I happen to be someone who only speaks in philosophies.

Maybe it was a bit of performance art, because it evoked emotion in a lot of people, but hey, I specialize in making people feel ...at least something.

Thanks again!
